The
United Nations Messengers of Peace help raise awareness about the United Nations
and the important work it does to help create a more peaceful, just and sustainable
world. Being chosen as a Messenger of Peace is the highest honor bestowed upon
a global citizen by a United Nations Secretary-General. More than a dozen high-profile
individuals have served as United Nations Messengers of Peace over the past decade.
